There comes a messenger every so often who offers a glimpse of truth, a psychic crowbar of reality to pry open the panopticon - the invisible prison none can see with a constant eye on each & every one of us. To realize our so called freedom is a myth. We are at an emergent state of ourselves ready to awaken, but only if we can identify what the real problem is. All governments are a fallacy designed to oppress our being into an economic state of slavery. Our minds have been violently raped of our better knowing by those who use laws to remove our freedoms. And so we remain chained in Plato’s cave unaware of the constant State of Emergency imposed upon us, everywhere, all the time, corralled like sleeping cattle, milked & butchered to make use of our potential for their profit.
Earlier this year I read one of the most powerful books I’ve come across in a while, “Cryptosovereignty: The Encrypted Political Philosophy of Bitcoin” by Erik Cason, a crypto-anarchist, cypherpunk, philosopher & farmer who has compiled the most comprehensive take on Bitcoin & its true logic. Cason identifies the true State of Emergency of our time - from state sponsored terrorism to the necessary destruction of the Banking Cartels’ grip over us, blinding them from their ability to identify & punish you with laws. All wars have been financed by fiat. Institutional punishment is designed to preserve that enforced panoptic rule seeking to spy on all in the guise of protection from the constant emergencies that plague our lives. Fiat money holds no real value other than the violence it is insured by. He posits that this continuum cannot be overthrown with violence, because it is violence that will only resurface when the revolutionary victor society is challenged down the line. What is humanity to do? The answer lies within the pages of Casons’ Cryptosovereignty.
Enter Satoshi Nakamoto, the unknown revolutionary/group of revolutionaries who delivered humanity a weapon of anonymity in this new digital age to destroy the panopticon. According to Cason, the purpose of identification is to separate humanity from their commonality, rendering us in a constant State of Emergency paralyzed by fear as the government creates ever more laws to strip us of our freedoms all in the myth of safety. With greedless bravery, Satoshi disassociated from his identity in order to become nobody, the only true way to combat the machine of oppression becoming at once unidentifiable & therefore uncontrollable. It is this gift of true sovereignty that cryptography offers, suffocating the surrviolence-backed fiat system & its ability to identify its attackers. He describes metaphorically how we must cut off the dragon’s head in order to achieve our liberation.
Cason states that we are at the crossroads of a new cryptographic topography; whether we accept Satoshi’s cloak of invisibility as we navigate the inevitable internet landscape of blockchain technologies is wholly on us. No longer should we feel obligated & subjected to taxation & work in exchange for slave wages. Cryptography is that light that has left the global institution of economic slave masters blind & in the dust. Moreover, he specifically identifies the messianic power of Bitcoin alone for it is the only true decentralized asset for the conscious individual.
Bitcoin is not just money, it is of the greatest political, economic, social & ethical importance in order to create an honest commonwealth that defines wealth held in your fellow people. I recommend that if you love philosophy & have any curiosity in this subject matter you grab this book & study it like your life depends on it. No longer should your true value be held captive in the biggest concentration camp of the world’s history. Rather open your minds to the truth, for as Cason states, “Truth not authority makes legitimacy.” With a slightly psychedelic approach to the political philosophy underpinning bitcoin, the author hints at his next epic treatise on the Metaphysics of Bitcoin, & I’m here for it.
